Many moons ago, Mel Drego trained in one of the pre-eminent hotels in Germany, working in a number of sections of the classic Steigenberger Hotel, Bad Neuenahr, training with a handful of expert chefs, from hot and cold kitchen, through to the bakery and patisserie.
Having worked in quite a few Australian establishments since then, (hotels, wholesale and smaller bakery/patisseries, as well as a stint in IT), Mel brings to this business, a wealth of experience, knowledge and passion.
Definitely, buying an on-going business demands a full-time effort, just to keep up with the day’s production requirements. And to lift the current standards, needs a further injection of thought, time and effort. Yep, 7 days a week.
